1st round picks 23-26: Eagles draft OG Watkins

Eagles address a need!
23. Eagles select Baylor’s OG Danny Watkins:
Analysis: Watkins fits the Eagles aggressive style of play. Eagles weakness is the OG position and they solidified that position with this pick.
24. Saints select Cal’s DE Cameron Jordan:
Analysis: Jordan is the most complete DE in this year’s draft. He can play the run and rush the quarterback.
25. Seahawks select Alabama’s OT/OG James Carpenter:
Analysis: This is a need pick for the Seahawks. Last year they drafted LT Russell Okung who had a solid rookie season and this year they get another solid T in Carpenter. The Seahawks are set at the tackle position for years to come.
26. Chiefs select Pitt’s WR Jon Baldwin:
Analysis: I believe that the Chiefs were looking to trade out of this spot, but since they couldn’t find any trade partners they felt Baldwin fitted one of their needs. Baldwin can be a big time play-maker but his attitude is what holds him back from being great.
