2011 Mr. Irrelevant belongs to DL Cheta Ozougwu

The last pick for the 2011 NFL draft belongs to the HoustonTexans.  Does this 6’2” 247 pound DL have what it takes to produce for the Texans?  Although he played DL in his college years he might be moved to 3-4 outside linebacker in his professional years. 

Strengths: Ozougwu produce some good-run qualities, strong, woks hard to get off blocks but struggles against better run blocking tackles.  He fires off the ball quick and low, capable of holding up the point of attack and setting the edge.  Shows power on contact with blockers, good tackler and hard worker.

Weakness: Doesn’t have the rushing explosion, lacks the size to remain at defensive end and not a potential for starting his rookie year.  His awareness and recognition skills need expansion and he lacks experience dropping into coverage and flexibility.
