Current football events…

By Alisha Boykin on December 26, 2010

Merry Christmas RFT fan’s…I didn’t win the Ron Artest ring raffle, the super bowl and the all star game are two months away, the Bengals have no chance in hell of going to the super bowl this season, they will be having yet another blacked out home game this season (a fourth game to be exact), and I cannot wait to see this Colts vs. the Raiders game this Sunday.   I have not seen 1 Raiders game this season and I’m tired of watching highlight’s of Nnamdi Asomugha on the Raiders media vault; I’m ready to watch him in action!

So what’s current, WR Terrell Owens with the Cincinnati Bengals knew surgery was a success and he is recovering well in rehab, WR Chad Ochocinco wants T.O. to return to the Bengal’s next season but he is questioning the fact he doesn’t know if he is returning next season.  Ocho has one year left on a six-year-deal that he signed with the Bengals in 2006 and he is scheduled to make a $6 million base salary for 2011, if there will even be football in 2011…let’s not forget about this possible lock-out that could take affect for the 2011 season.  I haven’t heard any current news on the lock-out but I will continue to keep you updated.

The Colts are still playing well with an 8-6 highly injured team and they will be missing three defensive starters in Sunday’s game (CB Kelvin Hayden neck injury, LB Clint Session broken right forearm, and Daniel Muir chest injury) against the Raiders including the backup running back Mike Hart.  Yet I repeat again, this is why Peyton Manning should be at the top of everyone’s prediction list for the 2010-2011MVP!  We all know he is working overtime on the field and that award belongs to him.

Alisha’s predictions and who am I expecting to win in this Sunday’s games?  I predict Patriots over Bills, this is a hard one and I am going to go with Jets over Bears, Ravens over Browns, Redskins over Jaguars, Chiefs over Titans, Dolphins definitely over Lions, 49ers over Rams but most likely it will be the other way around, Bengals I’m hoping over Chargers, Texans over Broncos, Colts over Raiders and that might be the other way around, Packers over Giants, Buccaneers over Seahawks, Eagles over Vikings, and as for Monday night game, Falcons over Saints.

R.I.P. Uncle Bill, 1944-2010. I already miss you so much!
