The New York Jets were releaved to find out that starting receiver Braylon Edwards won’t be suspended any games for his altercation outside a Cleveland night club while he was still a Brown. Edwards pleaded No Contest in January to a misdermeanor assault charge that accused him of striking a friend of Lebron James’ outside a Cleveland nightclub.
The news that Edwards will not face a League imposed suspension is especially beneficial for the Jets because they will already be without WR Santonio Holmes for the first 4 games because of violating the league’s substance abuse policy. Many thought Braylon may have been suspended for the Jets season opener against the Ravens. He played 12 games for New York last season catching 35 passes for 541 yards after being traded. He played a big role in the Jets going to the AFC Championship game last year.
Nice update on Braylon, I was gonna do one but good job!
