Breaking News: Hall of Fame QB George Blanda dies at age 83

By Alisha Boykin on September 28, 2010

QB George Blanda  played 26 seasons with the Bears, Oilers (know the Titans), and Raiders.  George was known for playing 26 seasons which is the longest played in NFL History.  Blanda completed 1,911 of 4,007 pass attempts for 26,920 yards and 236 touchdowns. Blanda also held the NFL record for most interceptions thrown with 277, until Brett Favre broke it on October 14, 2007.  Blanda was also the first ever NFL pick for the fantasy football draft pick when it was created in 1962.

Special prayers go out to the Blanda family from Real Football Talk (lord give them comfort)!
