CB Routt signs with Chiefs

Raider nation fans are wondering and asking why why why, did CB Stanford Routt have to sign with the Chiefs. The answer is real simple its called “revenge”. Routt is still furious that the Raiders released him after giving him a huge extension last year. The Raiders also made it clear last year that they wanted Routt to be their number one cover corner for years to come. But Routt’s play last season was suspect. He struggled being the Raiders number one cover corner as opposing offenses went at him constantly. Routt had 18 penalties against him and gave up 8 plus touchdowns.

So what do the Raiders do now? Well Chiefs CB Brandon Carr will is a free agent and now with the signing of Routt the Chiefs will probably release Carr who had a better 2011 season than Routt. The Raiders should target Carr and sign him. If the Raiders sign Carr he is an immediate upgrade over Routt.
