Giants win Super Bowl XLII: 21-17 over the Patriots

By Dominique Wise on February 6, 2012

Priceless moment: 2011 New York Giants are Super Bowl Champions

Super Bowl MVP:

All I can say and the rest of America feel free to join in and say, ”I believe in you Eli”. It’s official QB Eli Manning is an NFL elite quarterback. This 2011 season showed that Eli Manning should be considered as one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks. Manning was named Super Bowl XLII MVP. Manning was 30/40 for 296 yards passing along with a touchdown. Eli was elite in the fourth quarter of this game but his 39 yard throw to WR Mario Manningham will always be remember as one of the greatest Super Bowl throws. Manning fit the ball nicely into double coverage but what was more spectacular was the catch by Manningham.

Gotta Give Love To The Giants Defense:

The Giants defense was solid in Super Bowl XLII. The Giants played a bend but don’t break defense in which they held the high octane Patriots offense to 17 points. DE Justin Tuck was phenomenal with two sacks and numerous QB hurries on QB Tom Brady. Brady was great at times and also struggled under the Giants rush at times as well. Brady was also let down by his receivers who also had key crucial drops. The Giants defense held Brady to 6.7 yards per attempt.
