R.I.P. DT Shawn Lee, who passed away Saturday night in Raleigh, North Carolina at the age of 44. Lee was drafted in 1988 by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played college football at Northern Alabama. Lee, was one half of the “Two Tons of Fun” tandem with former Bucs Reuben Davis. Lee played for the Bucs, Dolphins, Chargers and Bears over a 10-year career and did end up winning a Super Bowl in 1994 with the San Diego Chargers.
R.I.P. CB Ricky Bell who passed away Feb. 17 at the age of 36. Mr. Bell played three seasons in the NFL with Jacksonville and Chicago and he spent one season in NFL Europe and another in the XFL before joining the CFL in 2001. Bell was a captain at North Carolina State before entering into the NFL. In the CFL, Bell played for the Calgary, Ottawa, Winnipeg and Montreal before leaving the CFL in 2007. Bell played in the AFL in 2008 with the Georgia Force before retiring from football.
