San Francisco 49ers free agency wishlist

The Should Be Targets:

WR Vincent Jackson

WR Dwayne Bowe

WR Mario Manningham

WR DeSean Jackson

G Carl Nicks

CB Carlos Rogers

CB Brent Grimes

CB Tracy Porter

S Reggie Nelson

S Michael Griffin

The Solutions:

WR Vincent Jackson would be the perfect deep threat pickup for the 49ers offense. The 49ers need a number one receiver and Jackson would be their number one. If the 49ers sign Jackson then Crabtree would be the number two receiver with Morgan being the slot receiver. I like that offensive package.

G Carl Nicks would be an immediate upgrade over guards Adam Synder and Chilo Rachal. Rachal has struggled and could be cut this year. Synder is decent at best. Nicks is the best guard in the NFL and would open up major holes for 49ers RB Frank Gore.

The 49ers must resign CB Carlos Rogers who had six interceptions last season. Rogers made plays all over the field and was the 49ers best cover corner.

CB Brent Grimes would be a great off-season signing for the 49ers if they lose CB Carlos Rogers. Grimes is a tough/physical undersized cover corner who excels in press man. Imagine if the 49ers sign both Rogers and Grimes, what a tandem for the next couple of years.

The 49ers need a S who excels in coverage and has solid ball skills. I think  S Michael Griffin would be an upgrade over the inconsistent Dashon Goldson. Goldson struggled mightily last season in coverage.
