Will Allen has played his entire 7 year career as a Buccaneer. Today he was signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers to a 3 year/ $4.5 million deal. He is a 6-1 200 pound Safety that played his college ball at the Ohio State University. But, before that he graduated from Wayne and went to Trotwood Madison H.S. and started at quarterback as well as safety.
Like ESPN analyst Chris Berman says, “I remeber, because I was there.” In 1997 I was the other starting S for the Trotwood Rams alongside a then 15 year-old Allen. I will always remember his passion for the game and fearlessness on the field.
Congratulations to Will and a new start with a first class organization and great sports franchise. The Steelers were busy on Monday. They also brought back WR Antwaan Randle El after a couple of seasons in Washington. Pittsburgh resigned S Ryan Clark and acquired former 49er reciever Arnaz Battle.
