The Giants and Vikings were supposed to play a Sunday afternoon game in the Metrodome. Unfortunately, due to the dome’s roof colapsing the game was moved and postponed. Minneapolis had about 17″ of snow and that was enough to create a hole big enough to make the dome an uncomfortable place to view a game.
The game has been moved to Monday night with a start time of 7:20PM. The Vikings wanted to play outdoors at the University of Minnesota, but the stadium wasn’t going to be available in time. So, the Giants will play the Vikings in Detroit at Ford Field. Tickets will be given to ticket holders for the game at the Metrodome and all others will be given free on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Another interesting sidenote to this game is the playing status of Brett Favre. It seems that every week he is dealing with some kind of injury from his ankle to his elbow, that makes him doubtful to start. But, he always starts. He always will start. Favre was even saying with his shoulder injury, if the game was on Sunday he wouldn’t have been able to play. Now that he has been given another day, expect Old #4 to lead them out of the tunnel this evening.
