Welcome back to coaching, Marty Schottenheimer and Jerry Glanville!

Welcome back Marty!

According to sources, on Monday, former NFL head coach Marty Schottenheimer will become head coach of the UFL’s Virginia Destroyer. This will be Schottenheimer’s latest coaching gig since being fired by the San Diego Chargers after a 14-2 season in 2006. His career record as an NFL head coach is 200-126-1, which is sixth on the all-time list.

Also on Monday the Hartford Colonials of the United Football League announced that Glanville would serve as the teams head coach and general manager. Glanville was 63-73 as an NFL coach. He will succeed former head coach Chris Palmer who led Hartford to a 3-5 record in 2010. Palmer left in February o become offensive coordinator for the Tennessee Titans.
