What a Sunday: Raiders and Browns with suprising dominating wins

By Dominique Wise on October 24, 2010

Outstanding coaching job Sunday, first Raiders team to ever score 59 points in a game!

I would of never thought I would ever see an Oakland Raiders team score 59 points in an NFL game. I am still shocked that the Raiders demolished the Denver Broncos Sunday 59-14. Now the true test comes for the Raiders next week against Seattle, hopefully they can win back to back games.  But lets not talk about next week just yet, this Raiders team dominated the Broncos from the opening drive to the end of the third quarter. RB Darren McFadden is a beast this year and is finally living up to his first round draft status. This year he is running harder than ever and has great vision. He ran for 165 yards on just 16 carries before eventually being pulled before the 4th quarter. McFadden could of easily had 200 yards, but no need to be greedy and risk injury with the game out of reach.

He was the right draft choice for the Raiders!

The Raiders offensive line was dominant. Rookie LT Jared Velheer had an excellent game, his run blocking is better than Mario Henderson. LG Robert gallery was solid as well.

How about the Raiders defense, CB Chris Johnson was solid and had a pick six. Of course we can’t forget the remarkable job Nnmandi Asomugha did on Brandon Lloyd. He straight shut Lloyd out. The defensive line had 3 sacks. SS Mike Mitchell deserves more playing time he had his best game of the season.

It was a very dominating performance and the Raiders could of easily put up 70 Sunday, that’s how bad the Broncos were. Well look at the bright side Broncos fans, your team gets to leave the country and play in London next week. I feel bad for the Brits, they have to watch putrid American football next week when the Broncos play the 49ers. I’m sure their will be some kind of soccer game on television so they don’t have to watch that horror game. Go Manchester United!

A grades for the whole team, good job Raiders!

Who would of thunk it, the Browns blow out the Super Bowl champs of last year New Orleans Saints 30-17. No fans that is not a misprint. The Browns harassed Drew Brees all day Sunday and forced him into 4 interceptions in which 2 were return by David Bowens. The last return for a touchdown by Bowens is probably the funniest return ever. Just go to You-tube and watch the highlights. The Browns offense sputtered majority of the game, but their defense had its back with a great game plan. The Saints love to throw the deep ball and the Browns took away the deep ball and force Brees to a short underneath passes. Great game Brownies!

Career game by Bowens on Sunday against the Saints! "Yes sir my first 2 interceptions return for touchdowns"
